What We're Surfing Lately

When space was grand...

It's hard to get excited about the space program these days.  Shuttle missions are the celestial equivalents of "Ice Road Trucker" trips to service the international space station.  As newswoman Ann Curry Tweeted on Monday, "40 years ago today Apollo 11 astronauts stepped on the moon. Today astronauts aboard the space station must fix a broken toilet."

Still when you look back at the pics of the Apollo missions on www.NASA.gov, it's amazing to think what was accomplished.  And perhaps it gives us hope at what we still can do in years to come.
